Your Credit Cards Are Not The Enemy
By Dina Dove of www.harryturtle.com
You’ve heard the old saying, “We found the enemy and he is us.” When it comes to overspending and getting in a financial mess.....we can all point the finger at the banks…. And yeah, they want to make as much money as they can. If you do not take control of your life, they will be happy to control it for you. To the banks, it’s all a game. Their game is to see how they can entice you to spend money. They offer great introductory rates and free airline tickets, points and cash back. Actually, these are all wonderful perks for people who are financially savvy. So, how can you become one of those people? You have to play the game in a way that you can win. And… you can’t do that unless you understand what is going on in your own mind. It’s a mind game, dude! First of all, if things are already out of control in your financial life, you’ve got to get with the program. You may have to back off of credit card use and get some discipline in your life. You have to learn what makes ‘YOU’ tick where money is concerned. It will open up a whole new world for you. You’ll be amazed at how much your thoughts are controlling your spending habits. And you’ll find real ways to have a more abundant life even while you find ways to spend less every month on things like, your cell phone bill, your insurance, and your coffee habit. With the things you learn by taking back control of your life from the banks, you will soon find that the banks of the US will be happy to pay for your vacations. Well, they may not be ‘happy’ particularly, but they certainly will pay. How do I know? For the last 10 years, every time I fly anywhere on vacation, Citi Bank has paid my way. Hilton Hotels have given me endless accommodations at no charge. And… I have traveled all over the country and once to Europe while the bank paid for it. And…. I do not pay interest on credit cards. It’s all about the game, my friends. You can learn to play it. There is skill involved. There is strategy involved. There is no shortcut. You have to get the skills first. That makes it fun. Become a master. Learn to play the game! And soon… the banks could be sending you on vacation, too! |

I have never owned nor will I ever own a credit card, however I still manage to keep my monitary affairs in good order and have never been in debt!
Ah yes, the "game". It definitely is a game that most of us need to learn how to win. Thanks for the great info.
